More on handling of entities – and why you should care

If you have had the opportunity to receive OT auditing while in the Church of Scientology, you have been thoroughly indoctrinated about not attempting to handle entities on your own or even thinking of entities outside of session.

As a result there are too many OTs with impressive certs who still have a great many confusions about entities. I know of many successful Scientologists who had mixed or bad results on their OT levels and  who never were sure about the validity of what they experienced.

Other OTs still seemed to have working service facs which they dramatized frequently.

Also, for years, I kept running into OTs who whined about life situations they seem to be stuck in. A “whining OT” is an incredible contradiction – until one learns that unhandled entities will produce this behavior.

It now appears to me that a lack of training lies at the bottom of these unfortunate situations and prevents those affected from achieving the results that can be gained on these levels.

In doing OT repairs on OTs as an independent practitioner where I can audit the pc in front of me and handle what concerns him or her, a couple of things kept coming up again and again.

1. It became obvious that their OT course supervisors had crashing misunderstoods on the OT materials and had passed them on to these student OTs!

Since these OT were not permitted to talk about their experiences with each other, there was little likelihood that they could clear up their confusions.

2. Many of these OTs were just not aware that most of the emotions and attitudes they were dramatizing came from entities in their space. Some were not aware that their actions were being directed every day by active entities.

When you hear an OT complaining about his treatment in the church and his negative feelings about auditing, you should be aware that his entities may have been heavily invalidated and have been given wrong items which have never been addressed.

Yes, the preOT has been invalidated by the rote auditing he received, but the entities also get stirred up and the charge is never handled because the auditor is too busy chasing down the PCs withholds to check ownership.

Everything you experience in course, in session or in life, affects you and your entities.

If you are not thoroughly trained to recognize and handle entities when they affect your life, you are quite likely to give yourself wrong items and wrong indications.

In the church we once were a part of, complaints and natter were a sure sign of missed withholds based on this type of reference:

1. sometimes pcs who have big overts become highly critical of the
auditor and get in a lot of snide comments about the auditor. Such
natter always indicates a real overt. (HCOB 7 Sept 64 II)

2. Natter and 1.1 remarks means a withhold. (HCOB 15 Oct 74)

These references are still true and natter always means a withhold is being restimulated, but whose withhold is being missed?

If you can just broaden your viewpoint for a moment, you can see that these references also apply to entities

If something is restimulating an entity’s withhold you get the full missed withhold phenomena. Entities are living beings and they are committing overts every day in an effort to solve long ago problems.

The person who is clear no longer has his own reactive mind or pictures but due to entities can become quite confused as he experiences their pictures and emotions and believes them to be his own. The entity with a missed withhold puts out a guilty feeling and the pc experiences the guilt as though it was a missed withhold of his own. (Except he probably doesn’t know why he feels so guilty.)

If the entity’s picture contains a somatic, the person can experience the somatic and it can be extremely painful and disabling. Many OTs I have known will complain of aches and pains sicknesses and never realize that they have entities acting up.

Do not ignore grumpy entities, if left unhandled, they can sour your whole day.  🙁

When OTs are coached into recognizing and handling entities with the idea of “How can I help you?”, they find that they will start getting live communication where none were apparent before.

If you have ever tried to solo audit and could not get the needle to read in spite of your best efforts, take a look at your attitude and your considerations about entities. Treat them as live beings and bring them to present time with a comm cycle that grants them beingness.

If you approach entities with the idea that they may be trying to help you in some way, you will grant them importance and you will see them come up to present time and blow charge.

If you have your own private SIR system, you might want to look up “natter” and “entities” and apply what you find to entities as well as big thetans with bodies. You might find that this opens a new door to handling life.

Good luck!

    In classical Christian demonology, a person can be:

    * Demonically influenced
    * Demonically oppressed
    * Demonically possessed

    Furthermore, a person can be possessed by one demon or by many.

    Critics of Scientology wrongly equate Scientology’s OT levels with Christian demonology when in fact the two are radically different in terms of concept, approach, and purposes.

    As described in the Bible, demons originated when the angel Lucifer led a rebellion in Heaven against God. In this rebellion, Lucifer convinced 1/3 of God’s angels to join him. Lucifer lost the War in Heaven and was cast down into Hell along with his army. Lucifer became “Satan” and the “fallen angels” became demons. This “War in Heaven” is the “incident” that the Bible uses to explain the origin of Evil. Satan, and demons.

    Contrary to the huge public misunderstanding of the OTmaterial, the entities described by LRH did not originate in Incident II of OT III. Rather, all entities originated with everyone and everything else at the beginning of the universe. We are all sentient beings that have a common origin.

    The OT levels are not exorcism. In Christianity, exorcism is commanding a demon to depart in the name of Jesus Christ, a name which is said to have power over demons. How the mechanism of exorcism works is never explained in the Bible: Why is a demon compelled to leave when the name of Jesus is invoked? This begs the question of why Evil exists in the world if in fact the name of Jesus banishes Evil.

    The OT Levels deal with sentient beings and not with demons. The granting of beingness to sentient beings is one of the key features that make the OT levels so powerful.

    The OT levels do not invalidate entities or give them a wrong item by forcing a demonic identity upon them as occurs in Christianity. Rather, entities are asked questioned and listened to in OT auditing. This is resonant with the work of Jung inasmuch as unwanted or disturbing psychoactive content is not rejected or suppressed but is rather listened to.

    The OT levels are a form of systematic inquiry that allows entities — and they are sentient beings — to cognite that they are not the false identities they have been being.

    Entities are liberated on the OT levels. They are liberated from unconsciousness and the trap of false identities. Thus, the OT levels harmonize with the purpose of Buddhism to liberate all sentient beings.

    Thank you for providing a broader perspective of the effort to free beings by communicating with them.

    Your statement, “The granting of beingness to sentient beings is one of the key features that make the OT levels so powerful”, is absolutely true.

    It underlies all of my efforts to bring about better auditing of entities.

    The depersonalization and demonization of entities is the commonest failure in OT auditing from what I have observed in doing OT repairs over the past few years.

    As you so eloquently put it, when properly done the OT levels harmonize with the purpose of Buddhism to liberate all sentient beings.

    When indifferently done, both the OT and his entities suffer.
