The Church of Scientology is losing ground

(Originally posted by OldAuditor on September 5, 2010 – comments are also included)

This post, while not strictly a post about the tech, includes valuable information about the current perversions of spiritual technology in the current Church of Scientology. If you are trying to help someone who has been in the hands of the church, you need this information or you may have no reality on what your pc has been through.

I am getting more reader reports of the gross out-tech that is being perpetrated upon Scientology public who are trying to get up the decaying Bridge to spiritual freedom.

Auditors taking PCs in to session with an adversarial attitude.

The PC is presumed to be wrong until proven otherwise,

Constant A-J checks for anything that looks like an outpoint.

Examiners and auditors waiting for the e-meter needle to swing three times before calling it an FN.

Security Checks before almost any major action with the session reports being sent to terminals all over the Org Board.

Plain Old Thetan added the following examples of gross out-tech:

Don’t forget Adversarial and political C/Sing. As in:

You’re not Clear unless DM says you’re Clear.

You’re Clear only because DM says you’re Clear.

Your Objectives aren’t flat until you’ve put in enough hours, no matter if you got the cogs.

You’re not a Class VI until you’ve put in 3 years of internship, no matter if your videos are perfect.

You have to redo your Method One because someone found an M/U on you.

You have to re-do OT VII because …. well, just because.

You have to go back and do NED even though you’ve been on OT VII for eight years…and you’ve gotta now do NED at Flag rates.

You can’t comp OT VII because you have been on it so long that you got old enough to develop a body situation and you’re not allowed to go to a doctor to get it looked at anyway.

You aren’t allowed to route onto OT VII because you didn’t get the Ethics clearance that a one-million dollar IAS donation would merit.

We’ll route you onto Power even though you masturbate 12 times a day and obviously need Expanded Dianetics but we need the Power stat.

We’ll let you route onto OT VIII because you gave the IAS a buncha money even though you can’t hold a part-time mission post due to incompetence and obvious evil purposes.

Most of these things are known throughout the independent field, but I know one highly-connected OT who asked me in great surprise, “Do you mean that there really is a policy of counting the meter swings?”

I gather he has not been in session for a very long time, as most of the people who have been in session in the last eight years are quite familiar with the examiner peering desperately at the meter before he calls the FN.

It has gotten so bad that the PCs have devised a strategy of talking animatedly about something happy in order to keep their needle floating through the examiners pained scrutiny.

I find that standard high ARC auditing seems to run out the invalidative and evaluative sessions that people received in the CofS. It seems quite sad that granting of beingness is no longer practiced in the church, now that it has become the Cult of Miscavige.

If there is no granting of beingness, there is little possibility of case gain for the unfortunate preclears and pre-OTs trying to get the gains promised by L Ron Hubbard in past years.

I also understand that the Sea Org has been put on some sort of new emergency basis recently. The term used was “condition one” which may be the same as the US Navy condition which means attack is present, or imminent.

It probably means that the beatings will continue until morale improves. I am sure that readers will have more information about this in due time.

I’m grateful for the benefit of your comm lines, Old Auditor. I am physically close to a class IV org but after making my unhappiness with the church known, I find my own comm lines have been cut. Funny, I tried for decades to get some control over the force and number of comms coming at me daily from the church – phone calls, mail, emails… as it turns out, all I had to do was start pointing out the various violations of tech and policy, and the volume of unwanted comm really diminished.

The S.O.’s new “status” is very interesting. Can’t wait to hear what that’s all about. I mean, isn’t attack a fact of daily life for the church?

I hate to say it, guys, but the Bridge to Nowhere is just as much a con when the tech is correct as it is when the tech is corrupt.

There is no such thing as good tech.

Hubbard created a system for turning nice normal people into unthinking slaves whose minds were no longer their own.

Willy,

I know this is not real for you, but there was real treasure to be found in the Tech before the Eighties.
I am sorry that you never saw it. Those of us who experienced it found that our abilities and lives were transformed for the better.

It was that treasure that kept many of us on for years hoping to get more of it. It was the hook that allowed Hubbard and later Miscavige to create a cult and ride roughshod over the normal desire to survive in the first and second dynamics.

Those of us who are auditing in the field, have selected out what we found to be workable technology and are delivering these services daily with excellent results. Google Freezone wins to get an example of what is being done by independent professionals.

Condition One?

hmmmm….

“First consider a group which takes in money but does not deliver anything in exchange. This is called rip-off. It is the ‘exchange’ condition of robbers, tax men, governments and other criminal elements.

Second is the condition of partial exchange. The group takes in orders or money for goods and then delivers part of it or a corrupted version of what was ordered. This is called short-changing or “running into debt” in that more and more is owed, in service or goods, by the group.

The third condition is the exchange known, legally and in business practice, as ‘fair exchange.’ One takes in orders and money and delivers exactly what has been ordered. Most successful businesses and activities work on the basis of ‘fair exchange.’

The fourth condition of exchange is not common but could be called exchange in abundance. Here one does not give two for one or free service but gives something more valuable than money was received for. Example: The group has diamonds for sale; an average diamond is ordered; the group delivers a blue-white diamond above average. Also it delivers it promptly and with courtesy.

Condition One: Sea Org speak, meaning everyone is on post all the time until an imminent threat has passed. Captain and Top of the Org Bd are personally directing the action. Examples: fire; leaving or entering harbor; any emergency. Once threat is no more they revert to either Conditions 2 or, in most cases 3.

Condition Two: Conditions are not threatening, yet require vigilance. Aboard my SO ship, deck crew was divided into 2 watches. One watch on post at a time, relieved by the other at stated intervals (usually every 4 hours). Middle management directs the scene. Well-known to sailors of old.

Condition Three: Normal operating conditions, crew reverts to a 3-watch system, usually 4 hrs on 8 hrs off. Universally used at sea for day to day routine.

Thank you Paul, for your detailed response.

If the Sea Org is in Condition One until the emergency is over, they will look like haggard ghosts and will lose even more effectiveness.
Gaunt scarecrows with reddened eyes and soiled uniforms do not command much ethics presence. The sleep deprivation alone clouds their judgment. Contact with public will be most unpleasant, for the public. Prepare for more OT horror stories…

Condition 1 in SO landlubber, Int base terms denotes some kind of danger/emergency. There’s usually a description such as Condition 1 Fire, Flood, Earhquake, Intruder, Electrical (power outage) or some such danger to the base.

Each have their own drills and watch lists of personnel and their jobs. There are only two watches – Port and Starboard. This also applies for liberties when they were happening, in the past so that you can have every other Sunday off.
